Three Boys

I have to say, there really is this myth that sometimes boys "can" be a little more harder to coral than  girls, and that girls are much easier when it comes to listening and staying calmer.  This can't be further than the truth for me, in the past month especially.  These three guys are just fantastic.  They know when to listen and they know when to have fun...  They are kind, they are polite, and they have these great hearts...    I shot them last year and thought the same thing, so this year just confirmed the truth.
Sometimes it's so hard to get that one shot where they ALL look awesome..I think Dad has quite a few to chose from here!

Beautiful Baby

Sorry folks, no other words...this one was pure joy.  Happy, smiley, and just absolutely beautiful.  Everything about her, the softness of her skin, her chubby cheeks, her sweet disposition, just say babyhood!  Watch out Gerber Baby, you have some competition!!!

Brotherhood

Another late summer shoot, that I am finally getting around to posting...I'm in a posting mode lately, still trying to get in some of my favorite little people.  While their hair and eye color really differ for brothers, there is something about the latest addition (youngest brother) that really reminds me of older brother when he was one!  Regardless, they remain top of my list for some of the cutest little boys ever produced!

Twice as Nice - Part 2

I've been photographing these cuties since they were babies.  Every year it gets easier and easier and I adore just watching them grow up!  I've noticed that twins just share something a little extra special between themselves.  Must be from all that time spent in utero!!

Twice as Nice

Lots of estrogen going on in this household, but what sweetness!  Twin girls and older sister!  I know I've said it before, but I just adore little girls.  All that pink, and frilli-ness.

Curly Locks

I know I should be blogging more...personal stuff has kept me away, but I will give it my all to try and keep up with this, especially with all the new faces I've been photographing.  While older sister here is not a new face of mine, younger sister is!  And boy did she keep us on our toes.  There is something about 1 year olds that just want to run and discover the world.  And that's a good thing.  Here is one of my favorite shots of her, that just exemplify's her pure innocence.  Love those lashes, huh?  Blog1

What can I say about older sister?  Everthing.  She is just a pure delight and an absolute joy to photograph. She has just a relaxed calm about her, especially in front of the camera.  There was no coaching needed for her...someday I'm going to see this girl in print ads, I just know it.

The "Running" Fee

Ok, so it's time to do my favorite "client-turned-friend's" little girl, who just turned one, portrait session. When speaking to my friend, she has let me known on quite a few occasions, that this little one keeps her quite busy and on her toes.  Well, most mom's say that especially after they were blessed with "perfect child number one" syndrome.  But to say, she kept us on our toes was an understatement!!  We were both breaking out in a sweat!  We had to go back to her home, because there was just too much for her to look at in the park, and she kept running away from us.  Upon arrival home, her daddy greeted them, and mom began to tell him of the adventures at the park....his reply was.."she should charge a "running" fee instead of a "sitting" fee.
BAHAHHAHAHAHAH!! I went hysterical.   That was classic.  BEST one I've heard. I just loved it.
Anyways, this is what this little one did for most of the session...Blog2

After going back to her house, we did manage to pull off a few that really just captured her beauty and innocence.

*On a side note, I just wanted to thank all my clients who have sent expressions of sympathy in the loss of my beloved mom.  It is appreciated more than you know.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Miss Independence

Little Miss Independence has clearly become one of my most favorite little clients.  We are in year 3 of photographing her, and I am just amazed by her changes!  Year one, momma was concerned as to how the session would go, as she was very very shy and didn't know how she would react.  I was very careful not to "invade her space" and we got along just fine!  I couldn't believe it yesterday, that this little one not only lost all her shyness, but she was quite sassy!  Smart as a whip, with a vocabulary like a 5 year old, telling dad she wanted to do things by herself!  She was so cooperative, we had time for 3 dressing changes!!
She loved it!

Sometimes as I'm driving to my clients house, I have something envisioned that I want to capture.  I can remember as a child, my front lawn being covered in dandelions.  ( back then, you didn't have weekly landscaping services complete with pesticide/weed control)  I can remember those white puffy things, and trying to blow out the seedlings, as if they were candles on a birthday cake.  I wanted to capture the commonalities in childhood, so when you looked at it, you remembered your own (and how the greatest joy, is sometimes the simplest ones.)  Little miss independence, executed my plan beautifully.
